The frankincense here is dry and resinous rather than smoky, lending an airy, mineral quality that feels elegant rather than heavy. There is spice, but it is subtle and controlled, never sharp, allowing the composition to breathe.

As the fragrance settles, the heart reveals a beautifully integrated rose. The base is where Oud Zarian truly earns its name. The oud is unmistakably present yet remarkably polished—smooth, aged, and free from any harsh medicinal or animalic edges. It is supported by sandalwood and patchouli that add creamy depth and earthiness, while myrrh and tonka introduce a soft resinous sweetness.
