I have fond memories of international travels, especially once when I was about to board a plane in Dubai - coming back home to Melbourne. I was lost at Dubai Creed stand and was mesmerised by the astonishing perfumes notes. I couldn't step away. The host advised me to go as my gates were about to close, and I thought he was kidding. I kept on sampling different perfumes. Turned out, I did miss out. I ran with a smell of the perfume on me hoping to somehow make it. I was about 15 minutes too late and I just couldn't get on my flight. Someone probably scored a free business upgrade. I went back to the lounge and sweet talked the customer service specialists to get me on the next business flight back home. They struggled a bit as I was virtually asking for a free business flight due to my own fault. They however commented on my perfume, they really liked it and when I told them the story behind me missing the flight - they laughed, they walked away and came back after about 20 minutes with a supervisor. He too had a laugh and said he too wore a Creed perfume. We joked. We laughed. We exchanged thoughts and feelings about Creed perfumes and notes and which ones to get.... and then I got a free return business flight. All thanks to Creed - the ultimate travel story that connected so many random people together and was the ultimate bridge in problem solving. A perfume.
